This is my life verse and has guided and directed me since I came to faith as a teenager. We are all a work in progress, encountering good times and difficulties that shape us into who we are becoming in Christ. God never wastes a hurt. Sometimes we need people to give us hope and to walk alongside through the challenges life has in store for us. I am here to do just that.
My Story
I recently retired from my role as lead pastor of a church in the Kansas City metro. My calling is to use my gifts and experiences to come alongside people and help them grow and transform into the image of Christ through “Grace Based” biblical counseling.
I married my high school sweetheart and best friend, Shanna, 32 years ago. We have four grown children who continue to be a joy and a blessing.
I was blessed to be raised by a strong single mother as my father abandoned us when I was young. The many challenges I faced as a young person helped stoke the fire of compassion toward those who are hurting.
I would love to partner with you during your healing journey as we seek to become more like Jesus in every aspect of our lives. I have a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Central Missouri, A Master’s of Divinity in Christian Education from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and 30-plus years of Pastoral and Biblical Counseling Experience. I work with both individuals and families.
