My Story
My family packed up and moved to the Kansas City area in 2013 when I took a job as a counselor at Peace Partnership in Lee's Summit. My wife and I met at the University of Alabama where I was studying psychology and she was studying finance. We've been married since 2005 and have three wonderful kids. We love hanging out with friends and watching movies with family.
I have a passion for helping individuals and families find healing through counseling. My own journey was difficult as a young man, and so I consider it an honor and a joy to help others recover from their painful pasts. God has blessed me tremendously through my own suffering and my faith is a key component of who I am as a counselor.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) in Missouri and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Kansas. I focus primarily on marriage counseling and trauma recovery. My motto is "simplify", and I try to live this out in both my professional and personal life. I earned my doctorate of counseling from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and a masters degree in biblical counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary. I hold certificates as a National Board Certified Counselor, as an EMDR certified therapist, and as a Level 1 and 2 Gottman Methods therapist.
